In 2022 to 2023 we joined forces with Purina PetCare Europe to launch initiatives to help animal welfare charities across Europe to improve welfare and rehome effectively.
Together we supported animal welfare charities across the region with three initiatives, providing capacity building tools, training and funding opportunities.
In partnership with Purina we held the 2023 International Companion Animal Welfare Conference (ICAWC). It’s the leading conference of its kind, bringing together hundreds of animal charity workers from across the globe, to participate in workshops and hear from inspiring speakers discussing all areas of companion animal welfare. It is a vital networking and development event for professionals in the animal welfare sector.
Our partnership also delivered the 2023 European Training Programme in which a small group of delegates attended a virtual event, with presentations and discussions focused on covering key animal welfare topics, and the challenges faced by organisations working to improve pet welfare across Europe.
Additionally, by partnering together, a number of European organisations were awarded grants of up to £10,000 in 2023 to build their capacity to help improve the lives of the dogs under their care and within their community.
