Global Champions Grants
Dogs Trust Worldwide understands the scale of suffering faced by dogs all around the world, and we aim to support local organisations, who share our vision and values, to help improve the lives and welfare of dogs worldwide.
In Europe we will help organisations via our European Champions Grants, but we know that there are dogs which need our help across the globe, and through our Global Champions Grants, we will support organisations around the rest of the world, to increase their capacity to help improve the lives of the dogs under their care and within their community.
India, Sri Lanka and Thailand are key countries of focus for Dogs Trust Worldwide, for which we deliver separate programmes, so organisations from those countries who would like to work with us should visit the India and Sri Lanka and Thailand pages on our website and contact us at international@dogstrustworldwide.com
We are unable to support organisations in the UK and the Republic of Ireland where Dogs Trust has its own programmes, while organisations from the USA should refer to the Dogs Trust USA website for grants available to support work in the United States: http://www.dogstrustusa.org/
We will provide grants of up to £10,000 to registered, not for profit organisations, to support their work in the following areas:
Sheltering and Rehoming: Projects we may fund include those aiming to make material improvements to existing rehoming centre or shelter infrastructure, those requiring equipment to improve the running of shelters or rehoming centres, or those directly aimed at improving the welfare of the dogs in the shelter through enrichment. Projects that aim to increase and improve local adoptions, including through fostering programmes will also be considered.
Capacity Building Equipment: We will consider funding a range of equipment to enable dog welfare organisations to build their capacity to help more dogs;veterinary medical equipment for use at permanent and mobile clinics to treat owned, roaming and shelter dogs; dog catching equipment; vehicles; computers, software and other information technology; and any other equipment which may improve working practices and procedures and benefit the lives of dogs.
